Court of Accounts at the SAIs meeting of the Visegrad Group within EUROSAI, Slovak Republic

At the invitation of SAI of Slovakia, the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova attended the meeting of the SAIs of the Visegrad Group within EUROSAI (V4 + 2) at Spisska Nova Yes, Slovakia. The event took place between 10 and 12 September.

The Supreme Audit Institutions of the Visegrad Group, which include the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Austria, as well as Slovenia, cooperate closely with each other and organize permanent meetings each year. This year, the representatives of the supreme audit institutions of Belarus and Moldova, as observers, were also invited to the meeting.

The Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova at this meeting was represented by Mr. Muntean Valeriu, head stuff and Taralunga Andrei, State Controller, Law Division.

Several themes related to the work of the Supreme Audit Institutions, including ensuring and improving audit quality control, were addressed in the meeting. Similarly, one of the topics discussed was the presentation of the joint SAI project of the Czech Republic and Slovakia: the project for the exchange of reference information, the assurance and control of the quality of the audit, the analytical activities of the SAI. This project was launched in 2016 and aims to create a common information database.

The third important topic discussed at the meeting was the "Value for Money" project, which emphasizes not only the use of public funds but also the fulfillment of national and international obligations.

Representatives of the CoA, at the first meeting of the Visegrad Group within EUROSAI (V4 + 2), made a general presentation of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova and during the work program they had a presentation on the subject - audit quality control.
