Cross-border programs in sight of the Court of Accounts

On the 15th of January this year, the auditors of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova (CoARM) held an initiating meeting of two audit missions within the Ministry of Finance.

According to the Law nr.260 from 07.12.2017 regarding the organization and functioning of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova and according to the provisions of the financing Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova, the European Union and the Regional Development and Public Administration Ministry of Romania, assisting the Audit Authority of the Joint Operational Programmes Black Sea Basin 2014-2020, Romania-Republic of Moldova 2014-2020, the supreme audit institution will collect relevant and reasonable audit evidence that would uphold the results of the audit regarding the process of implementing the recommendations forwarded to the national authorities involved in the management and control system of the Program.

The audit evidence will be gathered at the Ministry of Finance as a National Management Authority and Control Contact Point in the Republic of Moldova.

In this context, Andrei Munteanu, Member of the Court of Accounts and Tatiana Vozian, Head of the General Department have discussed about the organizational issues and have presented to the management of the Ministry of Finance the auditing team from the General Department of Methodology, Planning and Reporting, that is responsible for gathering the auditing evidence.
