SNAO expert visited to the Court of Accounts

On March 15-16, the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova hosted the experts from the National Audit Office of Sweden (SNAO).

The SNAO delegation was represented by Ingela Ekblom, senior consultant and Dag, Levin-Sparr, principal counselor and Audit Director.

The main purpose of the visit was the evaluation of the cooperation directions in the context of drafting the documents for launching a new cooperation project aimed at further strengthening the capacity of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova in its role as the supreme audit institution.

In the context of continue bilateral cooperation and identifying possible areas for cooperation, SNAO experts had several meetings with the Coordination Council, representatives of the Professional Training Department, the Human Resources Department and the external Relations and Communication section.

During the meetings with the CoA’s Board, the SNAO delegation addressed several issues related to management and leadership, independence and legal framework, internal, external, and stakeholder management. In this context, Swedish experts proposed to the audience a performance measurement questionnaire for supreme audit institutions, the results of which will be useful in drafting a future Cooperation Project of CoA-SNAO.

At the meetings with the representatives of the Professional Training Department, the Human Resources Department and the External Relations and Communication section, the human resources management and training components, internal and external communication were examined.

At the end of the visit of the SNAO experts, Tamara Andrusca, Vice-President thanked for the availability of the Project extension by 2020, noting that the Cooperation will bring added value in the field of human resources communication and management, as well as to strengthen the team of managers.

"You are transparent and open, which creates a positive atmosphere for the CoA's activity," Mrs. Ekblom said at the end of the mission.

We note that the parties intend to develop a cooperation project for the period 2018-2020, aimed at further strengthening the capacity of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova in its role as the supreme audit institution.
