On 8-12 June 2015, two experts from Finland undertake a mission to Chisinau in the context of the Twinning Project "Strengthening and enhancing the public audit in the Republic of Moldova".
The visit is in the context of the Component " Building of the audit capacity of the Court of Accounts", activity 1.3 on Development and capacity building of CoA to conduct performance / system audits and audits of EU funds, with the support of external experts.
The experts Lassi Perkinen and Visa Paajanen have scheduled discussions and workshops with pilot audit team responsible for auditing the management of public revenue. During the mission there will be elaborated a draft regulation for conducting of such kind of audits
During the Twinning Project, implemented with the support of the European Union, the beneficiary of which is the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova, there are planned four pilot audits in the areas of capital investments, pensions, public revenue management system and EU funds.
The Twinning Project is implemented in cooperation with CoA Twinning partners - HAUS Finnish Institute on Public Management and the Court of Accounts of Spain. Its overall objective is to improve accountability and management of public funds in the country by strengthening the capacity of external audit in accordance with recognized international auditing standards and in with best practices.
