A delegation of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova, composed by Mrs. Violeta Andries, Member of the CoA, and Mrs. Tatiana Vozian, interim chief of the professional training division within General Division, participated at the National Conference "Cross-border cooperation: the benefits of the common borders for the period 2014-2020".
The agenda of this event was divided in three sessions, which included the topics on the evaluation of the results and lessons to be learned for the future, Moldova - Ukraine Territorial Cooperation Programme2014-2016, the Danube Transnational Cooperation Program 2014-2020, Black Sea Basin Joint Operational Program 2014-2020 and Joint Operational Program Romania - Moldova 2014-2020. Also, it have been discussed about the national requirements for the cross-border cooperation projects and the development of the cross-border cooperation community, as well about new communication opportunities.
At the conference participated the representatives of national and international organizations, as well and Pirkka Tapiola, Head of the EU Delegation to the Republic of Moldova, and others.
Taking into account the external commitments, as well and the responsibilities assumed at national level, following the implementation of the "joint management principle", the Court of Accounts proposed to nominate the members of the group of auditors for the Cross-Border Cooperation Programs.
Financial assistance for the implementation of the European Neighborhood Policy (ENP) is provided through the European Neighborhood Tool (ENT), which finances four types of programs, including ENT-CBC, to finance cross-border cooperation programs. The Republic of Moldova participates in three cross-border cooperation programs financed by ENI: the Danube Trans-national Program 2014-2020, the Joint Operational Program Romania-Moldova 2014-2020 and the Black Sea Basin Joint Operational Program 2014-2020.
