In the period 30-31 March, a delegation from the CoA, composed by Mrs. Tatiana Cunetchi, Member of the Court of Accounts and Mr. Victor Munteanu, Chief of Division, attended the III Meeting of the EUROSAI Working Group on the Audit of Funds Allocated to Disasters and Catastrophes, in Rome, Italy.
At the event attended 14 countries members of the Working Group EUROSAI: Ukraine, Moldova, Bulgaria, Poland, Russian Federation, Albania, Romania, Turkey, Italy, Lithuania, Serbia, Czech Republic, Indonesia and ECA.
Within the framework of the meeting was conducted a seminar on "Opportunities of the performance audits in the evaluation of activities aimed at prevention and consequences elimination of disasters" and a plenary session on "Best Practice of Supreme Audit Institutions in auditing the use of funds allocated to prevention and consequences elimination of disasters, in the context of the implementation of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations". Also it was presented a report on the activities of the Working Group for the period 2015-2017 and participants shared lessons learned and future plans.
During the session, the draft of Strategic Plan for the period 2017-2020 on the activity of the EUROSAI Working Group was presented with a presentation of a draft resolution for the X EUROSAI Congress to extend the mandate of the EUROSAI Working Group for the next three years.
At the end of the plenary session, the SAI of Ukraine, Belarus and Poland signed an Audit Report jointly executed on the results of the coordinated parallel audit regarding the protection against pollution of the Bug River.
The next plenary session of the Working Group will be in Turkey.
