Seminar on strengthening integrity of the public sector

On 22-26 February 2016, the representatives of the Court of Accounts participated at International Good Practices Seminar - Strengthening integrity of the public sector, in Svarzas, Hungary.

The event is annually organized by the State Audit Office of Hungary (SAO) and the theme targets "how can be used the integrity survey in auditing the problems of integrity".

The seminar runs through both theoretical and practical trainings, presenting specific methods on detecting corruption risks in the public sector institutions and their preparedness to face to these threats. At the same time, participants will address issues related to transparency and communication.

From the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova participated Mrs. Ivasco Lilia, Head of the Human Resources and Security and Mrs. Tatiana Vozian, Principal State Controller of General Division of Methodology Planning and Analysis.

As a part of the international activity, in 2014, the State Audit Office of Hungary has launched this initiative to offer professional assistance to members of INTOSAI community by organizing annual good practices seminars, in Hungary.

From the series of the events, the first seminar has organized by SAO, in March 2014, in Szarvas, Hungary. The subject of the seminar was the strengthening the public sector integrity, adapted and developed by SAO with the aim of mapping the threats/risks of corruption in public sector institutions and identifying the way of training for institutions in combating these threats. The second seminar has organized in March 2015, comprising the same extended theme on issues of transparency and integrity of communication.
