On August 6, the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova (CoARM) hosted the reconciliation meeting regarding the results of the early preventive audit on the management and control system. The audit engagement is carried out in the context of the Interreg NEXT Romania-Republic of Moldova 2021-2027 program.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Finance, the State Chancellery, the State Financial Control Inspectorate and the Audit Authority of the Court of Accounts of Romania.
CoARM informed the participants of the meeting about the results of the early preventive audit on the management and control system (MCS). The purpose of the audit was to establish the MCS reliability of the said program.
Deficiencies regarding management checks and deficiencies regarding the implementation of appropriate anti-fraud measures, etc., were also presented.
To note, that the Interreg NEXT Romania-Republic of Moldova 2021-2027 Program represents non-refundable European funds, and the areas covered by this program are: health, education, tourism and culture, climate change, good governance and border management.
