On 30 and 31 of July this year, the "Coordination of the European Union's Cohesion Policy" workshop was held in Chisinau, organized by the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy (MDFRP) of Poland, in cooperation with the Office for European Integration.
The event was attended by members of the Working Group responsible for Chapter 22 "Regional policy and coordination of structural instruments", including the Court of Accounts, as well as representatives of the relevant departments from the State Chancellery.
Over two days, the participants at the event, discussed and exchanged opinions with Polish experts about the legal and institutional framework for governing the EU cohesion policy, the management of structural funds, audit and Poland's experience in regional policy coordination. At the same time, topics related to the current stage of the European integration process of the Republic of Moldova, the action plan and the roadmap for the preparation of negotiations on chapter 22 were addressed.
To be mentioned, that the purpose of the workshop was to support the activities of the Working Groups on negotiation chapters, in particular, the preparation of the authorities for the bilateral screening stage with the European Commission, as well as the strengthening of institutional capacities regarding the coordination of regional policy and structural instruments.
