In the period of 14 to 15 December 2016 in Riga, Republic of Latvia there was held the Forum of the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAI) from the Eastern Partnership countries. The Forum theme was "Strengthening capacities of SAI from Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine to promote the application of International Standards on Auditing (ISSAI)".
The event was organized by the State Audit Office of the Republic of Latvia and was attended by delegations from Georgia, Ukraine, Sweden and Moldova. The Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova was represented by Marina Covali, Member of the CoA, Nina Onofrei, Head of the General Division of Planning, Methodology, Quality Control and Trainings and Natalia Trofim, Head of The General Division of Audit of Public Finances.
During the visit, the delegation of the Court of Accounts had an official meeting with His Excellency, Raimonds Vējonis, the President of the Republic of Latvia, where he discussed the expectations of citizens from Supreme Audit Institutions.
Similarly, the Court of Accounts delegation had an official meeting with Edgars Rinkevičs, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia. The subject of the discussion was focused on development of cooperation with Eastern Partnership countries.
The visit was organized in the context of the Supreme Audit Institutions from Eastern Partnership countries cooperation.
