The Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova (CoARM) will undergo an external financial audit for the period 2019-2023. On June 26th, an initiation meeting for the audit was held, involving the audit team from the company "Moldauditing" and the leadership of the CoARM.
Tatiana Șevciuc, President of the CoARM, welcomed the initiation of the audit mission, expressing her openness to productive and efficient collaboration.
The external audit of the financial statements of the Court of Accounts involves examining the accuracy of the financial reports on the execution of the Court of Accounts' budget for the years 2019-2023, their compliance with financial reporting regulations in the public sector, and the conformity of the economic-financial operations performed.
It is noteworthy that according to the Law on the Organization and Functioning of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova, the annual financial statements of the Court of Accounts are subject to external audit, conducted in in compliance with internationally recognized standards, by an independent audit organization selected by Parliament in accordance with public procurement legislation.
