The draft concept of the Court of Accounts' Audit Strategy for the years 2025-2027 was discussed with the auditors of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova (CoARM) during a meeting held on June 17.

Tatiana Șevciuc, President of the CoARM, spoke about the main strategic audit priorities in the context of the third audit strategy, which will serve as a reference point for the coherent preparing of annual audit programs. Responsibility, transparency, and integrity are indispensable parts of a democratic system, and an independent, efficient, and credible supreme audit institution (SAI) is an essential component of this system. As an SAI, we strive to promote our own integrity and impartiality, to gain well-deserved recognition for our professionalism, quality, and impact, in order to provide stakeholders with essential support for improving public finance management, mentioned the President of the CoARM.

The participants at the meeting discussed the main directions and priorities for the audit activities of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova for the next three years. Key strategic objectives addressed during the meeting included: strengthening audit activity planning based on risk analysis, enhancing performance audit capabilities, developing capacities for compliance audits with a focus on high-risk areas, increasing the quality and level of implementation of audit recommendations, and more.

CoARM auditors expressed their openness to continue contributing to strengthening citizens' trust in audit activities and becoming a credible voice in revitalizing the public sector, including by seeking stakeholders' opinions on SAI activities.

The Court of Accounts aims to highlight existing fraudulent phenomena and promote a climate of integrity in the country by conducting audits in accordance with society expectations and widely accepted best practices.
