Cold audits reviews within the Twinning Project

In the period 25 - 29 January, a mission of the Twinning experts was held at the Court of Accounts, with Mr. Mikko Helkio and Mr. Jyrki Pennanen, at the Component 1 "Strengthen audit capacities of the CoA".

The mission objective was to develop the checklists, to conduct quality reviews cold audits carried out in 2015 with the support of the Twinning experts. It will focus on the assessing compliance audit procedures with the international auditing standards.

In 2015, within the Twinning Project, four pilot audits were coducted with the support of the Twinning experts in the following areas: capital investments, pension system, public revenue management system and EU funds.

The Twinning Project "Consolidation and the Strengthening the External Public Audit in the Republic of Moldova" has been implemented with the support of the European Union and the external development partners - HAUS Finish Institute for the Public Management and the Court of Accounts of Spain. Its general objective is to improve the accountability and management of public funds in the country by strengthening the capacity of external audit in accordance with recognized international auditing standards and in accordance with best practices.
