Meetings on bilateral cooperation topics

The promotion of cooperation relations on issues of common interest was discussed by the President of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova (CoARM), Marian Lupu during the bilateral meetings, organized on May 23-25.

In this context, the President of the CoARM and the Auditor General of the State Office of Latvia, Rolands Irklis, addressed the objectives of bilateral cooperation, in the context of the support provided to the CoARM.

Bilateral cooperation and common aspirations for accession to the EU Supreme Audit Institution Forum, the Contact Committee, were addressed in a meeting with Valeriy Patskan, President of the Court of Accounts of Ukraine.

Cooperation on various aspects of institutional capacity building, current challenges and objectives for the development of external public audit, in a national context, were discussed with Mihai Busuioc, President of the Romanian Court of Accounts, Marian Banas, President of the Supreme Audit Office of Poland, Nasir Sadigov, Vice-President of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Natalya Godunova, Chairman of the Committee on Monitoring the Implementation of the State Budget of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The meetings took place in the context of the EUROSAI Prague Post-Congress meeting. The event, hosted by the President of EUROSAI, the State Audit Office of the Czech Republic, brought together delegations from around 40 Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) within the European profile organization EUROSAI.

A meeting of EUROSAI SAI presidents with the President of the Czech Republic, Milos Zeman, was also held during the meeting.
