President of the Court of Accounts and UNDP delegation discussed about the strengthening of the parliamentary governance

On 23 November 2016, an official delegation of the UNDP in Moldova met with Mr. Veaceslav Untila, President of the Court of Accounts.

The UNDP was represented by Mr. Bojan Pogačar, international adviser, Mr. Mihai Raducan, adviser and Mr. Sergiu Galitchi, project manager.

In the context of the activities carried out within the project "Strengthening of the parliamentary governance in Moldova", implemented by the UNDP Moldova, will provide consultations in the public finances area. On 22 - 24 November, Mr. Pogačar will start the work on the project, then coming up with recommendations on strengthening the role of Parliament in the process of examining the state budget.

Mr. Veaceslav Untila spoke about the subjects regarding the organization of the CoA's activity, it attributions and responsibilities, as well and collaboration with the Parliament.   

Through the UNDP project mentioned above, support is provided for the improvement of the Moldovan Parliament's law-making capacities, oversight and representation process in accordance with the parliamentary international standards.
