Study visit in Budapest

On 14-15 September 2016, in Budapest, Hungary, was held a conference on the importance of ethics and integrity for the Supreme Audit Institutions. The State Audit Office of Hungary hosted the event.

Representatives of 18 international SAIs attended the conference.

Tatiana Caraman, higher state controller of the General Division of Methodology Planning and Analysis and Cataraga Marina, state controller in the IT audit Division, represented the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova.

Mr. László Domokos, President of the Association of Economic Auditors from Hungary, has opened the conference. He spoke about the importance of ethics and integrity within the SAIs. In accordance with the 2011-2017 EUROSAI Strategic Plan, one of the important objectives is "To facilitate the development and strengthen the institutional capacity of EUROSAI members".

The conference aimed to bring to the attention of all participants the new provisions of ISSAI 30 Code of Ethics, as well to strengthen the capacity and skills in integrity.
