A dialog between the Court of Accounts and the development partners

At the initiative of the CoA, on February 28, an informal meeting it was organized for the development partners regarding the activity of the Court of Accounts for 2016 and future perspectives, to achieve SDP 2016-2020.

The representatives of the European Delegation in the Republic of Moldova attended the meeting - Ekaterina Yakovleva, Project manager, Lars Lage Olofsson - higher adviser of the EU, Oxana Druta - representative of the World Bank, specialist in the financial management, Alla Skvorțova - UNDP in Moldova, Alastair Swarbrick - SIGMA in Moldova, Natalia Cristian - policy coordination and external assistance division of the State Chancellery.

The Plenum of the Court and the heads of the Departments represented the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova.

Tatiana Cunetchi, member of the CoA, sincerely thanked for accepting the participation in this meeting dedicated to cooperation with the international institutions, European countries and representatives of the Supreme Audit Institutions that provide support.

"The Court of Accounts is concerned and endeavor to maximize it efforts and mandate to identify the causes and impact of irregularities generating waste of public money. With the vision which it is shared and promoted, the current Plenum wants that the CoA to become, through its organization and operating model, an example for other local public institutions for the next five-year. This means to be recognized as an independent and integral, accountable and transparent in all its work, including providing to the stakeholders the results of work carried out" said Tatiana Cunetchi, member of the CoA.

In this context, Nina Onofrei, chief of the General Division of methodology, quality control and professional training, made a presentation on the topic "Court of Accounts - achievements, perspectives, continuity and coherence". In the presentation, was mentioned the projects of the institutional strengthening carried out during 2015-2016, their impact for SAI and audited entities. Also, it was mentioned about the Strategic Development Plan for 2016-2020 and implementation actions for the coming period 2016-2017.
