Ambassador of Sweden to the Republic of Moldova visited the Court of Accounts

The bilateral cooperation between the SAIs of Moldova and Sweden, in the context of the multilateral support provided to our country by the Swedish Government, were the main subject discussed with her Excellency Mrs. Signe Burgstaller, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Sweden to the Republic of Moldova and Mr. Veaceslav Untila, President of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova at the official visit on 24 November 2016.

The Swedish delegation was composed by Adam Amberg, Counsellor/Head of Development Cooperation, Daniela Vidaicu, National Programme Officer of the Swedish Embassy, Tamara Andrusca, Member of the Court of Accounts and Violeta Balan, Chief of external relations and communication section.

President of the Court of Accounts told about the strategic partnership of the SAIs of both countries, with a duration of 10 years with a major impact on the SAI development and strengthening in the country. Mr. Untila, also, spoke about the attributions and responsibilities of our institution, audit activity and planned objectives, about the cooperation with Parliament and other stakeholders, as well and about the achievements of the new Board in the first 100 days, since the appointment. 

The Swedish Ambassador mentioned about the support provided by the Sweden for our country in different areas, as: promoting democracy, human rights and gender equality, sustainable infrastructure and market development.

Mrs. Tamara Andrusca, thanked for the Swedish expert's efforts in the framework of the bilateral cooperation between our institutions and noting the importance of working together to ensure the continuity in the pilot audits, training, support implementation of programs for auditing, etc.
