The Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova (CoARM) will carry out audits within the municipalities of Chisinau and Balti, according to the audit activity program for 2021.
Starting with September 13, the CoARM will carry out the audit on the financial reports of the administrative-territorial units (ATU) of Chisinau and Balti concluded on December 31, 2020, as well as the compliance audit of the budget process and public assets management during 2018 -2020 within the ATU Chisinau and Balti (ATU of IInd level budget).
In this context, on September 13, there was held a meeting to initiate the audit within the Chisinau City Hall. During the meeting, Eduard Moroșan, Member of the CoARM presented the audit team, reporting on the objectives of the audit and the areas of application of the audit. In turn, Ion Ceban, Mayor General of Chisinau, noted the importance of the audit initiated by the Court of Accounts and discussed with the audit team on the organizational aspects of the audit and communication methods.
Likewise, a team of auditors of the CoARM participated in the opening meeting of the audit with the management of Balti City Hall. The audit team responsible for planning, conducting and reporting the audit results informed the local public administration authorities of Bălți municipality about the objectives of the audit and the responsibilities of all participants in conducting the audit.
We mention that the audits were initiated according to the Audit Program of the Court of Accounts for 2021.
