The ethical Committee examined the draft Code of Ethics of the Court of Accounts in a new version

A new meeting of the Ethical Committee of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova (CoARM) was held today, May 8.

One of the central topics of discussion was the examination of the draft Code of Ethics of the Court of Accounts, developed in a new version. The policy document was revised to be adjusted to the requirements of the Guide on the quality management system within the CoARM and is to be approved by the Court of Accounts.

To note that the Ethical Committee was established within the Court of Accounts in 2023, in the context of the implementation of the provisions of the Quality Management System Guide, the INTOSAI Code of Ethics - ISSAI 130, the Code of Ethics of the Court of Accounts, as well as the Code of conduct of the civil servant.

The ethics commission is a collegial, consultative and ethical advisory working group, which provides solutions for the resolution of conflicts identified between ethical requirements and their correct application in practice, promotes good international practices, provides advice and guidance in ethical aspects and the application of its own Code of Ethics, as well as the INTOSAI Code of Ethical Conduct.

Since its establishment, through its activity, the Committee is a true ambassador of the promotion of ethical values within the Supreme Audit Institution, with the aim of ensuring the internal framework necessary for ethical counseling, adjusting internal regulations to ethical requirements, as well as disseminating good practices and training employees on aspects related to ethical principles.

Under the aegis of the Ethical Committee, within the Court of Accounts several training sessions were organized for the institution's employees on topics related to ethical principles and values, including "Conflict as a source of organizational development", "Effective management of stress at work ", "Communication in the process of increasing individual performance".
