Visit of the delegation of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova at the Romanian Court of Accounts

On 23 - 24 November 2016, the delegation of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova carried out an official visit at the Romanian Court of Accounts (RCA).

The aim of this visit was to share the experience in improving the methodology of financial audit and IT audit area, focused on the collecting best practices in the implementation of the principles and international standards on auditing. 

The CoA's delegation was composed by Mrs. Tatiana Cunetchi, Member of the Court of Accounts, Mr. Petru Rotaru, Member of the Court of Accounts and Mr. Vasile Mosoi, Chief of the Financial audit division.

The RCA was represented by Mrs. Doina Dascalu, Deputy president, Mr. Dragos Budulac, Chief of External Relations Division, Mr. Adrian Gogolan, external public auditor, Department I, Division I, methodology service. 

The CoA's delegation was welcomed by Mr. Nicolae Vacaroiu, President of the Romanian Court of Accounts. Mr. Vacaroiu spoke about the role and the path followed by the Romanian Supreme Audit Institution, since it foundation until now. 

During the two working days, participants discussed about the sharing of knowledge and practices aimed to develop the capacities of performing the consolidated financial and IT audits, including aspects of issuing audit opinions, in accordance with the ISSAI and in the context of the national specific set. 

The own approaches and practices were provided in the aspects of the development strategy of SAI, manuals, regulations and guidelines in all types of audit, as well and the use of the best practices in their issuance.

The cooperation agreement between the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova and the Romanian Court of Accounts was sign on 28 March 2006, in Chisinau.
