A workshop on communication between the Parliament and the Court of Accounts

On 21 September 2016, the management and the employees of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova (CoA) have participated in a workshop on the "Strengthening the Cooperation with the Parliament". The workshop was organized within the UNDP project "Strengthening the parliamentary governance in Moldova".

Geoff Dubrow, UNDP international expert in the field of parliamentary oversight, described the overview of the workshop concept. Mr. Dubroff discussed the strengthening of the relations between the Supreme Audit Institution (SAI) and the Parliament, stressing its importance and the potential positive results.

During the seminar it was discussed several topics: how Parliament can support ISA (in plenary and committees), how SAI can support and strengthen the capacity of parliamentary committees, the effective communication of the Supreme Audit Institution and the Parliament, the collaboration with mass media.

The workshop was organized through presentations, discussions, group work and practical exercises.
